Try to right click the taskbar, then go to Toolbars > MediaMonkey Player (and check it)

You can always set it to show when you Minimize MM. Here is how I keep my Mm settings on one of My PCs.

@Toki
MM have toolbar player. so if you do not find it on list of Taskbar toolbars reinstall MM by Using Right click -> run As Administrator and than it should register correctly.

I am one of MM's biggest fans. I have used it for a long time.
It is playing all day long, while I tag files and manage my database of 600+GB.
However I have to agree it is beginning to get long in the tooth, esp when you see what the alternatives are doing.
I do wish MM well and hope very much that you will keep up.

I have been using Windows 7 throughout this year. It is essential that MM can be Fully Integrated with Windows 7. Other players can behave like this and MM needs to too, otherwise I am sorry to say others will use other players.
BUT - if so (fullfilling a fully integrated MM into Win 7 - please, developers, keep in mind that NOT everyone is using the Aero-surface of Win 7!
Would appreciate some extensions for the win classic skin as well (a simple toolbar like with WMP11 in Vista would do this job great)! ;)

[X] put it up for the Wishlist anyway!

All you do is hover over MM in the taskbar and it pops up. Talk about listening to the user base WOW what a turn around. Hey guys ask for something more difficult like a recorder or Imeem maybe both

Windows Media Player 12 is the worste media player Microsoft have brought out to date.
You cannot edit(MetaTag) songs, cannot party mix or transfer media library's from one pc to another. Go and have a look on the net and you will see the dissatisfaction with version 12 and how everybody wants version 11 back.
You might get some silly little task bar but it is nowhere near version 11 abilities. Your family will hate it. It does have better codec files and can play AAC files which is great but that is all lost bacause of the other issues. I moved to Media Monkey because of those specific reason. I hate WMP12 and if I had known the problems beforehand, I would never have moved from Vista to Win 7.

If you consider updating to the latest beta version a hack, then it's possible

is it not possible to implement this with some kind of plugin/hack?

I'm loving the Beta of MM and have finally removed it from the tray. All that's needed now is volume control in the thumbnail and its pretty perfect.

antiduplicity wrote:the site for the winamp plug in is http://code.google.com/p/win7shell/. It works perfect, but it puts a winamp icon on the taskbar and tells the system mediamonkey is winamp. But it has full configuration options, start/stop/rate from the jump list. Users can even determine what is on the jump list and what is on the pull down image of the player.

So, if this can be ported, or just folded into mediamonkey, we really have something.

Thanks

This feature is already available in MM, latest beta version.

Please show progress n the taskbar icon

by antiduplicity » Sat Oct 10, 2009 3:03 pm

I know it is possible to show the progress of the playing song by a growing green section of the icon in the taskbar. Can you do that for mediamonkey?

Thanks

Michael
