You can use my SQL-viewer Script which is based on MM's internal SQLite engine. It queries the database exactly as MM does and therefore it allows you to do anything with the database.

not really sure unless they found a bug in the code for connection to mediamonkey, and had to lock it from user input to keep it from being changed after they fixed it?
but that is just a guess as far as i can tell not being a programmer. :)

This is a part of the MediaMonkey code, but will not be a part of any SQLite tools you may use. This means you're out of luck as far as updating most text data in the db."
