Are you still able to control Media Monkey on an iPhone or iPad? I don’t mind upgrading to Gold but if I can’t control it remotely it is useless to me. I will convert my high quality music to something Apple can see and use iTunes.
I looked up iMonkey and can’t find it. I looked up Monkey Tunes and can’t find it.

I am trying iMonkey and MonkeyTunes.
have spent many hours trying to work out which problem I have,
before I spend many hours trying out the proposed solutions.
in the end I might just give up and use what Apple force me into!
I kind of assume that Airtunes and Apple lossless will work.
But in Logitek Squeezebox Windows iPod Touch MediaMonkey and FLAC world,...
it's all hard work and no music.
Hey - I still have my Vinyl Record Deck!?

Thanks for the kind words apfdfk. I worked really hard on MonkeyTunes to make it everything MM users deserve!

MonkeyTunes works like a charm; MM 3.2.0.1294. I've only been using it for 10 minutes and have run through everything to make sure it all works, and yes, it ALL works. As for the fact that this might look like a dodgy first post, I almost abandoned MM after a few dodgy experiences but recently gave it another try, and it seems to have improved a bit on the original 3.0 releases.

As I said about MonkeyTunes, I haven't been using it long so it hasn't really sunk in yet how good this is, but I'm really, really impressed, especially by its usage of the existing Apple remote app. Amazing really. With the phone docked this is faster to use than the MM program for me.

I also just fixed a bug which was causing a problem if there were no Genre specified in a track.

If you have already downloaded please re-download and try again!

Ran MM as administrator (to avoid the error), turned off the only firewall (windows).

The MonkeyTunes server shows up in the browsing tree for MM, and i get the pairing dialog and punch in the numbers,
iPhone spins for 15-20 seconds before it goes back to the listing of the available libraries and there is one in the list, with no name.

This is how far i've been able to go so far :/

This is an excellent question. I decided to price MonkeyTunes as a separate product and at the 10$ pricepoint. I had some agnst over this for current iMonkey users for the following reasons:

1. Apple does not tell me who or who didn't buy iMonkey. So I have no way of verifying who actually purchased it, who just stole the software on one of the jailbreak sites, and who didn't buy it but wants the discount. (You would probably not be shocked by the number of people who stole iMonkey with a jailbroken phone).

2. If you had posted on this thread or on my iMonkey forums previously I could verify you were an iMonkey user so they would be eligible for a discount. Since of the 5.99 Apple take 30% I only receive $4 per purchase. I of course will offer this 4$ discount off of MonkeyTunes to this group of individuals.

3. I spent a painstaking 2 months (around 150 hours) of development time creating MonkeyTunes. I think in the end it is a superior MM plugin easily worth 10$. I offer the 14 day trial so you can be impressed or unimpressed and decide for yourself.

4. Some people may actually prefer iMonkey over MonkeyTunes because it is faster to load that Apple Remote and some people love the Landscape view of iMonkey that the Apple Remote does not have.

I know that probably sucks, but I do all of this in my free time and think about 150 hours all done after my day job and on weekends etc. I am pretty sure my wife hates me now. :)

Excellent and works pretty well. Too bad you now have to pay $10 for it - you kept that one quiet ! And you have to uninstall it to run Mediamonkey again! Not that I don't think it's worth $10 - I just think you should make this clear before the user installs it.
