It's a known issue in 1.4, and it's actually been resolved. The fix will be in the next beta (any day now).

I've observed this behaviour on 1.3 also so you may be aware of it but I have Songs-db running on WinXP and Win2k.

With Songs-db running and minimized to the system tray Windows will not shut down. (start, turn off computer, shut down on XP and start, Shut down.., shut down on Win2k)

Are you aware of this? Or is this an anomally?
