A 10' interface needs:
a) very large text on all elements, so it can be comfortable read from 10' away
b) needs to provide as much functionality as possible using very few keys (up/down/left/right and enter, ideally, plus use of multimedia keys)
c) can get away with less functionality than normal - you mainly need to be able to navigate through your albums and playlists, and play/pause/stop.
now to answer your statements above.
a. text controled by the skin is only able to be made large on the player.
the user has to change the text in the list view area.
any text made larger in the panels by the skinner or the user tends to be cut off.
b. all that is done by the program developers.
c. that is a skinner thing too we can add or subtract the number of buttons and ones to use on it. but i mostly put ones
there that have been asked for over and over again in the forum when someone wants it on another skin i try and keep it
or add it to my skins. but i've stopped with that at the number of normal buttons.
that one screenshot you seen with the album covers in it was the monkeyflow script when i had it working on this computer.
