hi,
i have the same opinion like DreadM.

online-translators don't know the sense of the hole text and the words offen are wrong. i remember the e-mails you have send to me... it makes more confusion that it help.
for me: english it's ok - and if there are questions the people can ask!!

hallo

i can just speak for my self,i was often on the wiki skinning pages and if i dont understand some words,
i look in my dictionary and this is ok.on this way i also learn more english.
translate whole text with googel often the translatet text maks no sense!
and i think there is no necessery to make a translation for each new skinner.
i am shure you mean it good and just want to help, and for this i want to say thanks!

But what i realy miss on wiki skinning page , more specify information about the theme mskn Objects.

an exemple:i was looking long time for the object (not the image) who definated the border between Playlist
and main tree ,and i cant found out (also some people ask in the forum for this).
I found this by luck in the theme mskn under Panel/Frame.
maybe its better to put more information to the Skinning Reference!
this is just an suggestion,

since the links are on the lesson page.
they don't really need the full name in the link for the different translations. they are only linked from that lesson page.

just because you can have the online translator programs translate the whole page when you visit the site, does not mean every vistitor to the site Knows how to do that.

i picked those two langauges because there are skinners in the forum from those countrys that are newbies, some are new to computer graphics and some are new to skinning for media monkey. but it is a lot easier for those that speak the languages to have a link to an already translated page.

i also thought that some might beable to speak and read their own language and maybe german or italian but not read english too well.
so a fast back and forth clicking between the languages might be of some help for them too.

just trying to get help as fast as possible to those less techno.. that need it. :)

So I'm not the only one.

To translate page Introduction For New Users, enter the url in an online translator (like http://babel.altavista.com), select from <English>, to <Some Other Language> and see the result:
German
Italian

So posting machine-translated wiki-pages is not necessary.
Side note: the names you've given to the translated pages are quite ambiguous: "German Translation" and "Italian Translation" (could mean any translation)

Just a personal opinion of course.

Is it really necessary to convert the guides to other languages? Online converters already have a tool that automatically translates webpages by just typing in the URL. I think it clutters the wiki when you add in other languages, don't you think? :-?

PS- RC, you don't have to email me about it  , anyone with an opinion can post here...

okay i just used google to translate the lesson in to german.

and i had already did it for italian.

but i just made the two have their own page which is linked off the newbie's lesson page.

i speak only english and therefor have no idea how the translations read, i have to trust online translaters for that.

but i hope you can understand it better if you need one of those two langauges.
