Hi Rovingcowboy

I think that's sound advice (hehe, see what I did there :D ) and actually, i think I'll have to go back to 1345 to be sure I can get playback. The only problem with that is that the track browser does not work properly in that release and I do use that feature all the time as I do have a reasonably large music collection and it's an ideal way to keep track of everything. Ho hum, we have to make these sacrifices sometimes though. I think I will do just that and wait for the next release and see if things improve with that.

Thanks again and best regards

I have tried to reconfigure my sound settings on the PC and I have tried to use all available output modules but nothing at all works. Any ideas guy?

yes if you can go back and redownload 1346 and get rid of 1348, and use 1346 if you don't have mm 3 someplace to play music.

if you have mm 3 on the system too then just wait to get a new beta release this 1348 one is mucked up something terrible. :(

Hi Guys

Rovingcowboy - thanks for the reply but, itno sound, there's no playback at all, the trscks won't play at all in 1346 but they do, perfectly well in 1345. I'm just about to rerinstall it once again to see if, somehow, it makes any difference and for the sake of completeness, I'll check the sound settings in the OS controls

Dreadlau - I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium and WASAPI output but I've tried all the output modules in 1346 with the same result...

As I say, I'm just about to reinstall so I'll check the settings and let you know what happens.

Best Regards

check your volume sliders for the computer speakers in the control panel icon for sound.
it might have been set to off.
if so slide it back to the volume level you want.

i've had mediamonkey sometimes in the past change the volume mixer's level on me when i installed it.
possible that you got that same issue now? :-?

No problem to play flac files here. :S

@goodog and ABM:

Which OS are you on?
Which output plugin?

Goodog wrote:Hi Guys

I've just installed build 1346 and discovered that it will not play any of my audio files, all Flac encoded. I'm not sure about video, I don't use MM for that but, when I reverted to 1345, playback resumed as normal. I tried re-installing 1346 with the same result, no playback. Reverted to 1345 again and playback returned so I'm sticking with 1345 for the moment even though I have no track browser (which I use all the time so it's a bit inconvenient...) until the next build.

Same here. :(

STILL not working for me - as you may imagine, this is kind of a major drawback....
