I already do this with MediaMonkey. I did setup a seperate DB, actually a seperate Windows account as well to keep the 2 seperated. I just use MediaMonkey to catalog the TV videos for WebMonkey. I use Meedio to actually access my videos.

Even tho videos do not suppor tags (to my knowledge), it would be really cool to be able to catorgorze/organize video files in the same manners as with audio files.

Imagine being able to instantly find tv shows of 2005, or all soprano's, or all xvid's or full dvd's, etc etc.

Add in ratings and IMDB tagging, would be fun stuff.

edit, btw XBMC for modded xbox's works well for video, but there is very little organization capability, and obviously there is no mouse/keyboard for ease of management.

there have already been request to integrate MM in mediacenter.

but really i don't care how it gets implemented, be it with an internal or external player or integration with some other software.

i'm not sure about a separate application for video only since i wouldn't be able to make playlist containing both videoclips and regular audio files.

it would be great if MM would be able to show the video clip in stead of the album art e.g., or just fullscreen.

but i just want to know how many people are looking for something like this, so it might get implemented some time in the near or distant future 8)

Sorry just got stuck on the last question mentioning terrabytes. Anyway the maximum in the poll is kinda low, .

how many music videos = number of music video's (like question in the poll)
how many megabytes music videos = how many diskspace the music video's take

Your poll is confusing. Are you talking about the quantity in number of files or the amount of megabytes they use.

You might want to try a program like Meedio which recently got bought by Yahoo. Of course you also got WinMCE and some other variants.

Anyway my vote would go for a video only application which could come from the makers of MediaMonkey. But for me managing video is a lot less complex (a lot less data available) than music.

this poll is related to this one:

i also suggested something about the possibility to stream online videoclips, if you don't have any.

just to get an idea about the need for video clip support.
