Unfortunately CD-Text only supports Album per Disc not per Track.

Burning engine is not the best in MediaMonkey 5. My buds older cd player can't read MM5 burnt discs. So I tried to slow down burn speed, but apparently that option is not available in MM5. Also when writing CD Text, the disc name takes the album name of the first track. That disc name shows up on every track when CD text is shown, for example in a car. My wife pointed that out. Another burner (can I say the name?), I use just reports "Audio Disc". I can slow that software down to 4X speed and burnt disc will work on buds old cd player.

As mentioned above, MediaMonkey 5.0.4 can burn CD's.

CD Burning is absolutely needed in MM5, the workarounds are awful

Someone suggested launching MM4 and dragging MM5 playlists over to it. However music files can be dragged from MM4 to MM5, but not vice versa -- Windows 10 just gives the circular "Can Not Drop Here" icon

Thankfully, the "Burn CD Using MediaMonkey 4" plugin works

Audio CD burning is already in MM5 5.0.4. Alpha.

As mentioned prior you can use MediaMonkey 4 to burn and if you have a MediaMonkey 5 License it will work in MediaMonkey 4 too.

For those who still need CD burning, an addon has been created by Ludek to make it easier: https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brow ... amonkey-4/

To use after installing:
1. Select the desired tracks
2. Right click, Send to -> CD/DVD (Burn using MM4)...
3. MM4 will then open. Select the tracks again in MM4
4. Right click, Send to -> CD/DVD/BD (Burn)... to open the CD burning wizard.

EDIT: Requires MediaMonkey 5.0.2 or higher.

That certainly sound logical to me. Can windows actually produce a music cd format as opposed to just a disk containing mp3 files??

Possibly mediamonkey could provide an interface for Windows CD writing function, so it could be completed within the program itself.

Re: CD Burning in MM 5 - Why excitement about the burning

by Timo_Beil » Sun Apr 03, 2022 9:15 am

Sorry, but I don't understand the Excitement about the burning feature.
I do it the same way, like preparing a SD-Card to be played in the car.
Send To > Folder (rip/convert) builds a car-(CD)-friendly collection in a folder.
The build-in burning feature of Windows (10/11) does the rest.
Finished.
What are the outstanding advantages of CD Burning in MM?
