Hi,
this dialog occurs when MMA doesn't detect any storage.
Are you able to send a Log via "About MediaMonkey > Send logs" and write down the log ID.

"Connected to computer" "Please eject the device in order to access the files"

I'm getting this in almost all menu selections. Googling shows that it appears to have something to do with the removable micro SSD card. I'm using the SSD in a merged mode where it looks like continuous system memory.
