MMW: 4.1.24.1883
MMA: 1.3.7.0900
Issue: MMA is able to connect to MMW successfully, and sees all Music and Playlists available.
However, when adding playlists to sync,
only able to sync playlists as far as 4 levels deep.
See attached screenshots for more details. Labeled per step below.
Method to reproduce issue: For testing, I created D:\1\2\3\4\5\6\7\ each folder with two song files inside. I then created Playlists reproducing the folder/file structure 1:1.
- When choosing playlists to sync from MMA directly: (inside Options > Sync settings > Auto-sync server content > Playlists)
- Checking any playlists within levels 1,2,3,4 can successfully *check* the box.
- Checking any playlists below 4, so checking 5,6,7, the box will NOT check (it will instantly uncheck itself) and a toast message will appear "Unable to contact remote server". Screenshot A: https://i.imgur.com/DId06Xq.png
- When choosing playlists to sync from MMW directly: (inside Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync > Configure > Auto-Sync --> Device > Playlists)
- Checking any playlists within levels 1,2,3,4 can successfully *check* the box.
- Checking any playlists below 4, so checking 5,6,7, the box WILL check it. And it stays checked, unlike directly in MMA. Screenshot B: https://i.imgur.com/azjj3vE.jpg
- However, when initiating the sync from within MMA:
- In this screenshot you'll see that because it does not sync a playlist file, regardless of the files syncing, MMA sees it empty. Screenshot E: https://i.imgur.com/Av3lb6F.png
Lastly, worth mentioning, if I manually create the playlist files on Android for levels 5,6,7, and then sync again with MMA, it will delete these files so that only playlists exist for 1,2,3,4.
Issue occurs on multiple phones.
Let me know if I can provide any additional details I will be happy to help rectify this.
