Is any Auto-Conversion happening on the files when they're streamed?

Corrupt files on Sony BDP-S6200 Blu Ray player

Hey all!

I would like to lay out a situation because I'm at my wit's end. Any advise would be appreciated.

I have a Sony BDP-S6200 Blu Ray player.
I am using the latest MediaMonkey. I just downloaded it from this site last week. However, I am currently using the free version.
I am ripping my DVDs using DVDShrink.
I am encoding using Nero Recode 16 to MP4 files.

The files show up on the Blu Ray, and when they work, they work great. Fast forward and rewind work. Subtitles work. It's wonderful.
However, when I play about half of the files, the Blu Ray gives me a "File corrupted" error.
All files are ripped and encoded exactly the same way.

In addition, I have tried other DLNA servers. The files will open and play on the Blu Ray player.

This brings up the question: Then why don't you just use the other DLNA servers?
The answer to this is that these servers do not seem to support fast forward, rewind or subtitles. And this is true for both files that play when served by MediaMonkey and files that don't play.

I'm pulling my hair out here. I can't figure out why one file will play and the next one won't.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

TxDeadhead.
