Yes, that is the option i'm asking you to use.

I just tried tagging an album with DiscogsBatchTagger and this save-option, and the image get stored in the tag. So maybe Mediamonkey could not store the image into the tag.

Says "save to tag (if possible) otherwise save to file folder" there is no save to tag only option.

I even went to setting and changed the file name so when it saved it no longer saved as folder.jpg, changed it to <album>.jpg which was the only other option in settings and didn't work anyways... ended up saving the file with no name, just .jpg and every album tagged overwrote that same file.

"Go into the properties of a track -> Artwork. There you see the image. Mark it and press the Delete Key."

Yup, I know how to delete the unwanted image from the properties, but if I have to do that one-by-one for 200 files, it somewhat defeats the purpose of doing stuff as a batch. I may as well tag one-by-one.

As mentioned though, if I go through and tag, delete that folder.jpg file that everything keeps getting tagged with, it becomes invalid. AlbumArtTagger has an option to remove invalid art, so I can highlights everything and run that and it wipes out the folder.jpg link.

TheAddon work now without problems ?

You can delete the unwanted link in MM, too. Go into the properties of a track -> Artwork. There you see the image. Mark it and press the Delete Key. If you move-over with the mouse on the artwork, you see where it come from. (From tag or folder.jpg)

Did you checked which option you set for artwork? Save to tag?

What seems to work is to do all the tagging. When done, go into the folder and delete the folder.jpg file which now makes that image invalid and displays a placeholder image.

The use Album Art Tagger 5.2 to delete invalid artwork and it'll run through all the files and delete that unwanted link.

:D

Ha, ya... forgot AV means antivirus... I saw AV and thought I was changing something in MediaMonkey and didn't think the virus stuff. :D

I reported the false positive in the Malwarebytes forum. I just got an answer there: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/2 ... nt-1380351

AV means Anti Virus programs.

I just send the file to Malwarebytes and Microsoft for analyzing and white-listing it. It takes a few days. Then the file should not be flagged again.

I'm not a programmer or anything so, not really sure what that means... what's the AV?

Hi,
Even best would be to report false positive to both of them, it would be not a first time that AV report virus to my own code just compiled and that just show "Hello world!" dialog.

Hi,

sorry that you have problems with this addon.

Please read my answer in this part of the forum: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 90#p467135

And the additional answer from a dev of MM: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 90#p467169

If you like to use the addon further you need to exclude the DiscogsBatchTagger.exe from the av. Sorry again for this problems. :(

Think I figured out why... virus detected. I tried re-downloading it again and now keeps getting flagged as

TROJAN:WIN32/FUERY.B!cl
Severe

Checked with Microsofts AV, and Malwarebytes... not sure who to report that to. The previous version installed and passed virus scan.

So, the previous version installs fine, no errors, but when trying to use it, I get the previous no exe found error.

Windows cannot find
'C:\Thomas\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\DiscogsBatchTagger.exe'. Make
sure you typed the name correctly, then try again.

Not having much love for this particular addon... the batch artwork addons aren't doing me many favours either. Lot of files, but may just be faster to do them manually.

Quite sure it was defaulted to "save image to tag otherwise save to file folder" but I'll double check, if I can.

Today it's not working, said couldn't find the exe file in the path. Uninstalled, restarted, and tried installing and now won't install the thing. :x

You have 2 choices:

You rename the image name to folder1.jpg, folder2.jpg,... each time you tag a track
or
You change the image location to "save image to tag otherwise save to file folder". The image will only be saved within the mp3-file.

I am trying to cleanup a folder of about 250 loose tracks, just random singles, and been trying to get this add-on working.

I have the updated version, and my issue is with artwork.

It seems to save the image to the file, and saves an additional folder.jpg file. Each time I save the next file, it overwrites the folder.jpg with a copy of the image.

When done, all the files show the same artwork. If I deleted folder.jpg then they show a placeholder image. If I select all the files and click to delete the folder.jpg from the properties, it's gone, but updates all the files with ALL the covers from all the files. Luckily I tested in a batch of 10, not all files at once.

How do I batch tag singles and not have the folder.jpg show up?
