As a follow-up, I should say I just now deleted the MM app on my android and any folders/file associated with it. The music I synced a couple days ago remained on the SD card. Then, when I connnected my android phone via USB and opened MMW, it showed those files on my SD card as "Other" instead of music ... so I cannot run sync again. I will have to once again reformat the SD card. Doing that much more and I'll probably kill the SD card, which wasn't cheap.
On the MediaMonkey Wiki help pages, I see that it recommends, for a first-time sync, an SD card should be inserted into the PC and the sync initiated that way. Then, put the SD card back in the android phone and further syncs will work fine. Now, I must say the explanation on doing this is strange, indeed, when one reads the full process. It left me scratching my head.
By the way, yesterday, in an effort to resolve this issue, I deleted all the MM-related files on the phone, such as the storage .xml files and others. I thought that would clear the "memory"/cache from MMA and a new scan would pick up the audio files cleanly. Didn't work. Instead the result was I had two or three files listed for the exact same track.
I have tried my damndest to figure on syncing through MediaMonkey - for the last couple years, actually - and have gotten nowhere. I absolutely love MediaMonkey for PC, but syncing is the program's Achilles heel.
Existing help files and old video tutorials on the web are no help at all. Much too general.
