Yes, they should be seen as different devices. Did you manually copy any data between the devices or share a SD card?

yes i'm using a phone profile within mmw.
i can see it when i connect the phone using usb cable.
following your thread you are using the pro version.
I should sync from phone back to mmw (meta data and playlists).

could this be a problem - i have two phones same model. should they have two different profiles?

The sync functions are included in the freeware.
Do not connect your phone yet via USB, but locate your device profile in MMW (Tools / Options / External Devices),
choose your mobile phone and press Configure, and follow my link.

Try MMW 4.1.23 as that's the latest and many sync fixes have been made.

only thing i've changed against default is that the folders on mma are different to those on windows. could it be the problem?

Which version of MMW and MMA? It should only sync changes.

dear all,

i'm syncing mmw and mma free versions using ubs cable and mpt device.

as my lib is getting larger i'd like to sync only the new files or new meta data and not the whole lib each time. my settings are as described on the mmw website. as soon as i connect my android phone it deletes all files from the phone and starts anew.
in my view i wouldn't call it synchronisation but copying.

how to achieve a real sync? do i have to buy a licence?
