Settings/layout are remembered if you install the new version on top of the old installation (no uninstalling).

But this probably isn't my problem. The check boxes you referenced are not checked.

My problem is more to do with the overall appearance settings as mentioned in the OP.

I have had a Gold Lifetime license since 2013. I enjoy both MMW and MMA, especially because I still have old .wma, .aac, and .mp3 music files. Unfortunately, each time I have updated I lose the appearance of my desktop. I am a fan of the old Glided skin. I also have customized my Media Tree and Toolbars.

Is there a file that saves this information that I can save and then transfer it to the upgraded MMW?
