Thanks Lowlander. I will read up on these.

Auto-Organize File (copy) with <Auto Number>: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... ormats/4.0

Or create a relative Path Playlist, it starts from where the Playlist is to point to the files. As long as this stays the same it doesn't matter where you move the files (you can edit Playlist files in any text editor). More flexible Playlist creation: http://mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic. ... d+playlist

Create a sync device for any location featuring a drive letter: https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brow ... e-plug-in/ This will allow sync, including Playlists, as well as setting how Playlists are created.

How do you upload a MM playlist to cloud storage such that the track sequencing is retained?

I just copied a playlist I made in MM to a local drive by right-clicking on the playlist and choosing send to (copy)>folder location. I noticed there was not a [playlist name].m3u file in the folder, just the mp3 files themselves, and not in the order I sequenced them in. If I upload that to Google Drive for someone, they won't be able to play them in order.

Can someone suggest how I can upload a MM playlist in such a way that the track sequencing will be recognized by whoever then downloads it? Is it enough to upload the tracks and the m3u file in the same folder? I'm doing that now and notice that Google Drive is not displaying the files in the order I sequenced them.

And would they have to use MM to play the tracks in order to have them be in order?

As a test, I uploaded the mp3s in one folder and inside that folder I created a Playlists folder, which I put the .m3u file inside of. This replicates how MM creates the structure when I synchronize the playlist to my ipod or to a thumbdrive.

I then downloaded this folder (and the Playlists subfolder) and pointed both VLC player and Windows Media Player to the parent folder (which has the Playlists subfolder inside of it.) The tracks are not playing in the intended order, but instead play in order accroding to the original Track Number that was assigned to the original CD burn or album download. It was this way within MM as well, when I accessed the playlist download.

So, yeah, I am not sure how to proceed. And googling the topic and looking here on the forums or the Support doesn't bring up anything.

Thanks.
