Thanks for shorting the learning curve.

You can see this by checking Track Volume field (in Properties or as column in Filelisting). If it has a value you're good to go.

Ok, I deleted it and all seems well, when I tried the analysis again and it wouldn't do anything does that mean it's done and ready to go to the Ipod?

Thanks much.

Then it may have some corruption preventing the volume analysis.

No, I have about 1600 songs from CD's loaded into MM as MP3's and I run the analyze feature, after a while it looked like it was done but gave me the "media monkey is unable to decode this format".
I deleted the eagles CD and quit getting the error, if I hit analyse volume now, nothing happens.

Are you trying to analyze files on the CD?

I may have spoke to soon, after trying to analyze it says "media monkey is unable to decode this format"

I have been taking music CD's I have and ripping them to MP3 @ 320 bit rate, that not right?

Looks like it doesn't like the eagles, I think we're ok now... I hope. :D

"If you enable the option to analyze volume for unanalyzed tracks you don't need to do anything else."

It appears the free version won't let me select this??

If you enable the option to analyze volume for unanalyzed tracks you don't need to do anything else.

Just set like that and don't worry about analyzing?

Any new files added will need to be analyzed if they haven't been before. You can have MediaMonkey do this automatically (Tools > Options > Volume Leveling).

If you analyze volume only once, what do you do when you add more music?
Do I need to move the analyzed music to a separate file?
