you might want to try wether this winamp plugin works in MM as well

would be great if it works

in that case you can just use asx file you have and add it to some playlist.

EDIT: it does not seem to work

(but you can open the url with windows media player if you don't like the java player)

EDIT2: asx is a windows format, (that's why it will work in WMP),
maybe there is a playlist converter program

First i just discovered all this like 4 hours ago, so i'm far from an expert ...

there seems to be another error

i do this

[playlist]
NumberOfEntries=1

File1=http://66.250.84.31:80/ccri_ny_newyork_ ... st?MSWMExt
Title1=xmas radio
Length1=-1
Version=2

but MM sometimes just doesn't give any sound or it gives an error
when opening with winamp it say error syncing to mpeg
(but the url opens in wmp)
We are in need of an expert here

i saved that as a .pls and nothing happens when i open it in MM

ow that might do, that's an asx file (maybe you can find a plugin that will MM recognize asx files)

I found it (well actually you did)
open the asx file with notepad there is this link

put that in the pls file and it should do
(the link opens with wmp)

this is a link to a website, not to a (live) stream, i'll see if i can find the link ...
nope, maybe ask the webmaster or something wether there is a live link
this is a java player

The radio i used also worked with a similar player, but they also showed the links to the stream (that you need)

in winamp and wmp you can play these kinds of links by choose open URL... .

i get about ten errors when i try to do this. i am copying what you have and when i try to open in it in MM is when the errors start popping up

open a pls file with notepad, copy this in it, save it and open it with MM, than save it as a playlist.

hey, i want to add a streaming radio to MM

i already added 1 (i downloaded a .pls file and opened it with MM)

now this radio, i only have a link to the livestream,
i opened the pls from the other radiostation with notepad and changed the link to this new link, but it doesn't work .

Is there a way to play this in MM?, or how do i make a good .pls file ?
(btw the link is correct, when i enter it in my browser it works, in MM i get an error and MM crashes)

ps: in winamp or wmp you can just choose open URL and it works as well
