Since the last MM5 update, I've been unable to do a full wifi sync.
The sync starts, MMA (1.4.1.0936) connects to MM5 (5.0.0.2266), and it begins updating metadata. It typically begins to at least sync ratings and play history, but it invariably ends up throwing an error before it finishes the metadata.
The MM5 debug log is here: https://bit.ly/3c4RZoh
I sent a log via MMA, as well. I'm using a Galaxy S9.

Log is empty, can you share a new log that has the sync captured: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 30&t=86643 as well as send a debug log from MMA right after sync fails and respond here with the logID.

Try that link again for the MM5 log.

Re: Wifi sync keeps failing after latest MM5 update
Hi, based on the MM5 log the strange thing is that MM5 builds sync list longer than 100 seconds and based on an auto-playlist like [year=2017, Custom1 like '%Best of %, LastTimePlayed < X] but the auto-playlist is there hundreds of times!
i.e. either you have hundreds of copies of this auto-playlist in your database (I doubt) or it is somehow in a strange loop (maybe by auto-playlist's playlist is condition -- one playlist references others).
Anyhow I would need to analyze your MM5.DB to be able to see more, could you please zip it, upload and share the link with me?
Thanks!

Re: Wifi sync keeps failing after latest MM5 update
Weird. That's a playlist I had last year. I'm not sure if I deleted it or repurposed it into something else.
I'm sending the library via DM.

Re: Wifi sync keeps failing after latest MM5 update
Thanks, I am analyzing your MM5.DB now and there are really more than 500 instances of playlist "Best of 2017", see:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vk390upy5rsoj ... 7.png?dl=0
Each instance has another instance as its parent, but the first instance has parent id 30051 which no longer exists in the database.
I am trying to figure out how this could happen as I doubt that it was you that created more than 500 copies of the playlist.
My suspicious is something like drag and droping a playlist to itself (I remember similar issue many years ago in MM4).
EDIT: Actually seeing that this issue is still opened in the Mantis: https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=12748
Assigned to me to look into it.
EDIT2: #12748 is fixed for 2268 and I sent you fixed MM5.DB via private message.
As for the cause of the issue: I haven't been able to create hundreds of ghost playlists, but dragging a parent playlist to one of its children (and dropping) creates the ghost playlists, to be fixed as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=16931

Re: Wifi sync keeps failing after latest MM5 update [#12748][#16931]
Everything is working now. Thank you!
Wifi syncing had already been incredibly slow (15+ minutes) for some time. I'm guessing the ghost playlists must have been responsible, because syncing is lightning fast again.
