Ever since I updated MM to the latest version ( I am a lifetime member), it will not recognize my Samsung S7, no matter what I've tried. What's really odd is it will recognize my Android tablet or my Sony digital Walkman. Here's what I keep getting. " The USB media Transfer Protocol is having trouble connecting to "Kurts Samsung S7 ….
I've tried all of the suggestions listed to no avail, verified that the phone is in file transfer protocol, and checked the options for portable device sync. Nothing works

Can File Explorer access it without problems? Which version number of MediaMonkey and have you tried a PC and device restart?

Hi,
As of Android 8.1 (I think) Device default setting is Charge Only and you need to tap on Notification to Enable File transfer for each connection to USB.
It was done as on Some Public Chargers it was noticed that Users privacy is violated.
