When will we see 64bit MM5

Post by Weatherman » Fri May 10, 2019 8:04 am

Just wondering why a new version of MM is 32bit?

Because not all of our libraries (or 3rd party we're using) have 64bit support.

To make it clear -- there will be a 64bit version, but since it isn't trivial, we decided to focus on the 32bit version atm and bring the 64bit version sometimes later.

is there really much benefit in native 64-bit binaries??

It's not like MM needs the extra RAM

Hi,
Better optimization when there is free resources available, possible db query lower lag, faster access to cached data, ...
