I just started chromecasting my music from my phone (Nexus 5x) and it was amazing until I realized that it skips almost every other song and sometimes multiple songs. I thought it was because I hadn't bought the UPnP/DLNA addon yet, so I bought the addon and I'm still running into the same thing. It doesn't do this when I'm using headphones, it only skips tracks when I'm using chromecast and it happens with every album. I made sure my phone wasn't on shuffle. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a glitch?

Send a debug log from the About screen in MMA when you see this and open a Support Ticket with the logID.

I saw this too, but I hadn't done troubleshooting enough to tell if it was chromecast that was failing or the DLNA playback. It's a fairly new symptom, as I was playing through the same setup without problems not too long ago; August? September?

I reported this exact problem in early November (Ticket XVN-529-32877)....only happened when casting a playlist to my Vizio P55-C1, not when I played the playlist directly on my phone. I submitted debug logs with casting and without casting but have heard nothing back so far.

Reports are analyzed and we are working on tweaking.

I have been informed that this is fixed in 1.2.1.621

Note: build 621 is in testing. Expect it to be posted shortly.

I saw the same problem reported in this thread, and it was fixed.

Today, I was using MMA 1.3.0.664 to play to a Chromecast. The source was a playlist on MMW, via UPnP.

The first three tracks of the playlist played fine. Next, it played the first track from the playlist again; but MMA player (Now Playing List) showed it on the fourth track from the playlist, and the mini player at screen bottom had the fourth track's title. I tapped on the fourth track, and it started playing. Immediately after, it once again started playing the first track from the playlist, while displaying as if the fifth track were playing. This same pattern for several tracks.

The behavior changed when I paused play, and then tapped the track I wanted. But after this, that newly-tapped track was the one that kept getting started with every advance in the playlist.

Does this also happen if you play in MMA itself instead of Chromecast?

After seeing this thread I tested it out with music on my mobile with MMA665.

Only through Chromecast Audio via the app. Casting via Home etc works normally.

I'll do some proper testing later.

It plays first few tracks then repeats first track under the guise of the actual track.

I just checked in to post a log that I got today, after not capturing one earlier: YVCS2RWJMA - hopefully not necessary...
