No album cleanup and hundreds of covers

Hi
Running mediamonkey beta on Samsung galaxy s3 with 4.4.2.
I have 2 issues:
1: All of the album covers are showing up in my Gallery. All of my covers are imbedded in the tags. I typically copy 500-1000 songs onto my device. How do i stop the covers from being extracted.
2: After I sync and the songs are copied onto my phone the old albums are not removed from the library. Mediamonkey knows the tracks are gone however the album's are still displaying with no tracks. I have told mediamonkey to research several times with no success.
