copying track info

Post by chirschfield »

I am unable to copy track info under the following conditions:
I have all tracks for a CD on hard disk and they are properly identified as to album, artist, etc. in MM because they were entered into MM database from the hard disk file info.
I then decide to burn a CD and after that I enter the CD into MM.
MM looks in freedb and says there is no info on this CD.
At this point I want to copy all the known data from the data cataloged about the hard disk version into the track info for the CD version and I cannot do it.
Can anyone help me.
Thanks,
chirschfield

I have the same problem and I'm discusting it with Jiri, keep tuned for new replys.

For now as I see it there is a problem with CDDB ID synchronise.

Getting track info from custom CDs

Post by rusty »

This issue requires the development of a couple of new features:

1) CD-text support: this allows MM to read metadata from Audio CDs that are burned by the user (this should be added in the next major release).

2) Ability to synchronize CDs with already extant MP3 tracks. This is something that we've discussed internally, but have deferred because of higher priority features. It's still on our to-do list, but fairly low down.
