Thread Creation Error

Post by stutes »

I've been consistently getting the following error:

"Thread creation error: Not enough storage is available to process this command"

This will occur with different songs and different playlists. Once the error pops up, it will pop up repeatedly until the song it is playing ends. Then the player will stop playing the playlist.

I've tried turning off various plugins, but I still get the error.

My hard drive still has 1.81GB available, so I don't think space is really the issue.

I've thought that perhaps something else running may be interferring, but I've played Media Monkey without anything else open, and it still occurs. (There is antivirus and firewall running in background though)

Detailed information about my environment:
WinXP SP1
Athalon 700+MB
MediaMonkey 2.0 Build 1.557, using internal player

Can you run the Windows Task Manager (taskmgr.exe) and see what's happening to in terms of memory utilization on the Processes tab?

Does it look as though Memory Usage for MediaMonkey is going up continuously? Do you notice whether anything in particular triggers this increase?

Note: there was a report of a memory leak with the Stereo Expander plug-in, but we haven't been able to replicate this:
