lame encoding bug?

Hi,

I've just been trying to convert a wav file I have to LAME standard and extreme, using the built in LAME encoder and then my older 3.96 version. In both cases, the encoded file encoded in a much lower setting than it was supposed to (156 when I tried to encode Extreme, 128 When I tried to encode in standard). Anyone know what is happening here?

i think maybe i have experienced a similar problem. i always encode at the medium fast setting but all the files came out with bit rates less than 100.
