How to simply browse my library as a folder tree?

Post by Test User »

Hi!

I have my music collection on a network drive in a folder "MP3". It contains a well structured folder tree for genres, artists, etc. I just want to browse this directory tree and play some files from it. When using MM5, this only seems possible when I select "Folders" and then tediously browse my network for the root folder of my collection (which I also specified as the root of the library in MM). There's no way to set this root location as "Home", pin it for quick access, etc.! Why? I don't want to browse it by album, artist, genre or whatever! I just want to browse my folder tree just like in Windows... Why can't I set the root for this in MM? Why can't I pin a folder (like having "favorites")? Why do I have to search my root folder every time MM starts? The new version 5 seems to be really annoying and bad...

Regards!

You can use Location instead and Pin those as location is in the Library, whereas Folders browses anything on your PC.
