Mediamonkey 5 v2024.0.0.3003 stalls when inserting "enchanced cds"

Post by robojock »

Hi,

I have been ripping cds with mm5, normal cds seem to rip fine and in my collection I have some enhanced cd's (cd's with a data track) if I insert the disc mm5 it will just display a message "reading metadata audio disc" and it will stay like that until I force close mm or eject the disc. I have attached a debug log Ticket #6936

I had a similar problem with a couple of enhanced CDs, but then also not a problem with some other enhanced CDs. There are apparently a variety of types of ehnanced CDs and MM's balking seems to be a problem with specific types - don't know which.

I found that I had to end up getting one enhanced CD to run on a PC, from where it allowed the ripping of the tracks, which I then copied to MM.

Cheers

Matt

Please capture this in a debug log (step 4b) when you come across an issue with enhanced CD's and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

This will help a developer analyze why it fails for the specific CD.
