Playlist sync with iPhone - Last playlist doesnt sync [#17512]

Platform: Windows 11 (with the latest updates)
MM: 5.1.0.2829
iPhone 12 Mini iOS 17.4

Issue: Changes to the last playlist does not sync.

Details: I have 3 playlists. When I add/remove songs from my first two playlists and sync, my iPhone gets updated with no issues. But when I make changes to the 3rd playlist, it does NOT sync. My current workaround is that any time I change the 3rd playlist, I delete the playlist from my phone and then select the playlist, right click and send to my phone. This works fine.

An update: I added the 4th playlist. Only changes to the first 2 playlists transfer (transfer is a better term than sync as it seems to be one-way) to the iphone. Any changes to other playlists don't transfer.

Please start with updating to the latest beta, as you're using an older beta.

Are you adding any files that haven't been Synced to the third Playlist, or just files already on the phone?

Updated to the latest beta - 5.1.0.28.32.

No change.

[murali] both. some are not on the phone, others are already.

Another issue but may be iOS is the culprit.

I have an auto playlist called 5 Star. It has all the 5 star rated songs. I gave a 5-star rating to a song. Then I did a sync. The song did transfer and is accessible in iOS Music app using Artists, Album, Songs and Genres under the Library. But, the newly added song is NOT visible in the 5 Star playlist in the phone after the sync.

Terrific question, @Lowlander. Here is my answer.

1. I gave 5-star rating to 2 songs that were NOT in the phone.
2. I dragged and dropped the 2 songs into my 4 playlists.
3. Did a sync with my iphone.

Result:
The 2 songs show up under Artists, Albums, Songs, and Genre in the iOS Music app.
The 2 songs show up in Playlists 1 and 2.
The 2 songs DON'T show up in Playlists 3, 4 and 5-star auto-playlist.

My observation: The songs DO get transferred to the phone but not visible in some of the playlists in the phone. Hope this helps.

Just to be sure, are the Playlists that fail to update on Sync still selected to be Synced?

OMG!!!!

The new playlists were NOT selected. I didn't even know that every time I create a playlist, I need select it in the configuration. Not sure how the files got sync-ed in the past.

All good. Can you provide an option to automatically select a newly created playlist to be sync-ed?

That's probably not going to happen as that can lead to unintentional files being synced.
