I have an huge database.
When I add an album the following happens.
1) I play an album, the focus stands on that album
2) I add a new album
3) During the adding process, MM actualizes the views to the very tops of the lists. The playback continues, the played files are not shown
4) I have to scroll through my huge collection to again select the album which is currently playing
This behavior did not exist in release before 2827, I think.
I do not have the time to investigate this.

I also do not understand the situation
Thread title says "adding files to database"
Is not the album being played already in the database
From where and how is another album being added, and added to what?

Re: Adding files to database
I have thousands of albums in my archive.
While playing back one of them, I add a new one to the archive.
MM refreshes all of the lists, the top item of every list is highlighted.
Now I must scroll to the album which is currently playing.
MM should stay at the album which is playbacked. It did so several releases ago.

Re: Adding files to database
Sorry to be dense here, how do you add the new album?
I mean as in do you copy from another source to a monitored folder, rip from CD, download from internet, etc?
Another possibility - Do you add a new location for MM to scan?
By album do you mean a set of tracks tagged already with identical album name and album artist?
Your description can mean many different things, so hard to test and reproduce.
