I searched and did not find this addressed in MM5, only really old posts for older versions.
All album art showing up in Android Photo Gallery.
dropping a .nomedia file in the root 'Music" folder stops that craziness but now MM5 album art is not showing.
What is the expected behavior and is this the correct way to handle the issue?

Re: nomedia file
You're talking about Android and MediaMonkey for Windows. Is that what you meant? If so can please detail more about this setup? Are you viewing files on a device connected to your PC?

Re: nomedia file
I sync MM5 on Windows to MM on Android.
S9 (I know older but I prefer having an SD card).
Gallery app was showing all the album art in Albums. The option to flip from "disable" to "enable" folders to include in Android isn't' there and I don't want to have to "disable" every single album. Seems Android is insistent on showing "albums" in the SD card Music folder.
I put a .nomedia file in the root music folder I sync to on the SD card. That got rid of the album art showing in Android Gallery, but now MM isn't picking up any art.

Re: nomedia file
Hi,
Respecting .NoMedia is up to manufacturer to follow standard or not. In the past Samsung was known to not respect that by default.
It must be something related to your device settings or we would be getting much more reports like yours.

Re: nomedia file
Putting .nomedia on the Music folder does suppress the albums in Samsung Gallery. So they are respecting the file presence.
The problem is it also kills all the album art in MMA.
