hi,
what are the best options for the equalizer if im listening to metal?

There is a ROCK preset that would probably suit.

There are arguments for and against music filters, but one I like is DFX (available by googling - use the DFX for Winamp plugin)

With this one you can use presets or, set your own.

I guess for metal you pretty much want full on everything 8)

Yes, all (most) Winamp 2.x (not 5.x) plugins wrk with MediaMonkey.

I don't like equalizer btw. I like it natural. :)

I used this for the Metal preset [Equalizer]

RightPreamp=-2
Left1=0
Right1=0
Left2=5.5
