MM5 stuck in Micro Player Mode

Post by ByTor 03 »

MM5 was working fine. It was playing music from my Library like it has 1000's of times. I went to minimize the screen but instead of minimizing, it went to micro player mode.

Tried to "RESTORE" from the system tray but it will not go back to full player mode. Windows 10 blue loading circle will briefly appear, then goes away.

MM5 shows in the task bar. Clicking on it will not bring up the full player. Windows 10 blue loading circle will briefly appear, then goes away.

Have tried closing, then re-opening, no luck. Have rebooted the PC, no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Which Build of MMW are you using? You may want to try the latest 5.1 beta build to see if it resolves the issue.

Have installed and am using MM5 5.04.2690 MediaMonkey Gold (Lifetime).

On a "whim", I opened MM4 and played the file from the folder that MM5 was playing. Just to see if it was a file-folder issue. After playing, I closed MM4.

Went back to the taskbar and clicked on MM5 and it restored to full player mode.

I don't know....

I realize MM4 and MM5 have nothing to do with each other so I am guessing it had something to do with the folder-file (?), Maybe (?), don't have a clue.

Anyway, all is right with the world now!

I had the same problem. Uninstall and reinstalling didn't work either.

You need to find and delete MediaMonkey settings in the App Data folder and under the subfolder local or roaming.
The program will regrate them, but it will reset the visibility.
I had also to make the App Data folder visible on my Windows 10 as the folder is usually hidden.
I did that from Control Panel > File Explorer options. ~show hidden...

Despite this snag, I still love the program.
