File problems by newbie user

Hello
I am trying to get my music collection working as close to my iTunes/IPod of many years after it died
I know this is different and the learning curve is steep for me anyway


Now I have set up my MMW5 and wifi sync but
the MMA sucks up all the music on the phone and memory card
when I try and delete songs it wants access to internal memory and memory card, I have been playing so just do not know what settings are wrong.
i uninstalled and reinstall
i went into app - and sync folders selected a single folder MM for music video etc this is on the memory card
I edited the sync wifi settings to auto in MMW5 - and set the MMA to not resync back onto server


how do i stop it sucking up all the music on phone - all sorts of folders on memory card and internal ....aaahhhh how do i reset . when i try and delete all files on android device under app in albums or tracks it wants access to nearly every folder

I'm not sure what sucking up all the music on phone means. Is MMA adding files from all over the device to its Library?

Yes it is - it is pulling in files not in the MMW5 library

I am not sure what access I have granted the app - during the "playing with the settings" period i have just done.

Choose library folders determines what is in the MMA Library.

yes that's it - changing folder selection Setting in MMA from the menu by tapping the settings gear icon

Ok
last one of today as i am getting this under my belt now

- in MMW5 - I cleared out the test library - from the program - went to the entire library -selected all and deleted all the albums - then checked on file explorer to my HDD and yup all gone

now in MMA - I do a sync as normal - and songs are still showing , what do i need to do to get them to sync up with the MMW5 empty library please ?

By default Sync only removes files in the MMW Library not selected for Sync. You'll need to set it to delete All other media files instead.
