Errors with playlists and song titles/tags after syncing [#20034]

Post by mattiman18 »

I'm trying to sync my old phone's playlists to the Windows version of MediaMonkey so that I can transfer them to my new phone. However, when I tried to sync, the playlists were there and displayed the correct number of songs, but there were seemingly no actual songs in them. Does anyone know why this might be?

The songs were accessible under the Tracks section though. However, the names and tags of most of them got completely messed up. A lot of the files are video game soundtracks and I've named them Song Name - Video Game. The tracks' artists and sometimes albums were set to the song name or video game name, which I'm guessing is because MediaMonkey is interpreting the dashes as separating a song title and its artist. Is there any way to prevent this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the report! We're looking into this at https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=20034

The playlist shouldn't be empty (it appears to be a recent regression).

This is fixed in build 1095 (to be available shortly as a test build).
