Tried to update this morning from 5.0.4.2690 to 5.1.0.2802 and almost immediately received this error while the library was trying to update once it showed the message "Your LIbrary is being upgraded to the latest version. It can take up to several minutes... Updating to database version 5.0.67":

Uncaught Error: "uitools.getSelectedTracklist is not a function

I think I was able to send the log before it froze after that. (LOG ID: A14ADC97)

Now MM5 is completely unusable.

Do I have to go back to the drawing board with no MM5.DB and start from scratch?

I opened up Ticket #5729 for this error and attached MediaMonkeyEngine.el in a zip file

After making sure MediaMonkey is fully closed (Details tab in Task Manager) it won't run again?

No, same error, even tried safe mode and rebooting my PC. Currently scanning music directories and rebuilding my DB from scratch. MM5 5.1.0.2802 started up just fine after I moved my MM5.DB file out of the directory to save a copy of it.

Can you please upload the database file to a cloud share and include the link to the shared file in your Support Ticket? This will help a developer analyze why this happens on your database.

FYI, mine installed trouble-free over my existing 5.0.4.2690

It is set to re-scan on startup, which it did. 13k tracks in a few seconds.

I am very interested to try the changes to now playing in shuffle mode.
Using V2024 LATEST alpha or beta build on Windows 11, HP laptop, managing 13k tracks

Hi,
Please note that 5.1.0.2802 is APLHA!!! if you are not sure what you are doing and think you can except crashes, regressions and reporting them please either do not use it or use as separate portable.

Yeah, I get that, starting over fresh with a newly scanned / built DB. Will report any other issues as they come up.

Sorry, I removed my MM5.DB file and started fresh (no DB), and re-scanned my Music directory. I will report back on any newly discovered bugs.
