Hi Everyone,
I have MM4 for Windows connected via ethernet to a Sony amplifier.
Before Christmas I had the Sony amp connected as the "player" and everything worked correctly, with playlist playing through the amp downstairs as expected. And, even MMRemote worked fine!
Since then I've done something wrong to stop this working, and have spent ages looking at "player" and "media sharing" options but I cannot persuade music to play through the amp. Selecting MM or WinAmp work fine, but the DLNA Renderer option does nothing.
But. I notice that when I connect to the MMServer from the amp, I can correctly use the search functions in MM, and when selected the music playlist plays correctly. As a further clue I notice that on the Windows computer, the screens show a previous search, including the resulting playlist. This playlist isn't playing, but the "Player" screen at the bottom of the window is showing which music is actually playing including its progress.
Grateful for any suggestions.

Have you tried a PC restart? Which version of MediaMonkey are you using?

Hi Lowlander,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes; I've tried re-starting the PC; disconnected and re-connected everything to the network; and also removed and redetected servers from the amp (in case a different port number caused a problem).
I'm using MM 4.1.25.1895

Capture the failure to play in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... ?f=20&t=69

Hi Lowlander,
Thanks for your comment about my streaming issue.
I did as you suggested, explaining the problem and including the files you recommended to the Helpdesk.
Regrettably that was like sending something to a black hole, as I received no response despite chasing.
Looks like I'll have to find a solution outside of MediaMonkey.
Thanks for looking at it anyway,
Regards
David

If you attached a log to the ticket you'll hear back eventually. Often they take a while to analyze it.
