I have follow problem:
I changed my D:\mp3 (partition is called MP3) disk to a new disk with the same D:\mp3 path but a new partition name (MP3 & games).
I didn't changed my c:\partition or disk
Now he can't find my old files that are in the database file anymore. He found al new files. So i have 2 files in my database one 'unfindable' and the new one for example:
[MP3]\mp3\supersong.mp3
d:\mp3\supersong.mp3
the first file is the lost file
and the second the new founded file.
My main problem is that al my playlists have the [mp3]\mp3\ labeled files so i can't use them anymore.
Anyone knows this problem and what the solution is?
Thanks

Re: database can't find files anymore
No new computer, no new database, the disk is a clone image of the old disk. the pathway of the files is exactly the same. can you explain it to me because i can't find it there :sLowlander wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 11:13 am See: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... w_computer

This guide applies, you need to update the driveID with the Addon. This guide applies to changing computers, changing hard drives within the same computer and reinstalling Windows.

Re: database can't find files anymore
Cloning Files from one drive to another is not as same as Partition Cloning. MMW do not look at path for matching files but on Partition/Volume Serial Number as Partition/Volume Serial Number is not changed no matter where you connect your HDD and MMW immediately recognize it as available.
Read more on tools and info about it https://www.raymond.cc/blog/changing-or ... volume-id/
EDIT: Also many users do not know but NTFS Partition/Volume Serial Number contains 16 characters and not just 8 as shown in above document.
You can Start my app as administrator http://www.happymonkeying.com/forum/Serial.exe and you will see.
