I've been struggling the past few days trying to get MediaMonkey to wi-fi sync with my device. I feel like I'm so close but I'm just missing one big, critical point and I can't figure it out.
I'm getting lost at this point in the process:
1. On your desktop machine running MMW, make sure that Wi-Fi Sync is enabled----by default, this is pre-configured, and no action should be required.
If you're using an existing sync profile, go to that Device Profile (Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync) and make sure that 'Grant Remote Access / Sync rights' is enabled.
2. Then go to Tools - Options - Media Sharing, and set up the sharing options for your library. When MMA (or any UPnP player) is browsing into the MediaMonkey server, it will see only the libraries and playlists that are shared--so if items aren't accessible over UPnP, they won't be accessible to MMA for Wi-Fi sync.
3. Start MediaMonkey (MMA) on your Android device, access the Options menu and scroll down to "Wi-Fi Sync". Choose "Select Sync Server" and select the MMW server that you set up in step 2.
It just says "select the MMW server that you set up in step 2", but HOW? MediaMonkey shows an example of "http(s)://host:port/path_to_device_description_file.xml" but what is this XML file? Where does it come from?! I can't for the LIFE of me figure out what that is or where I'm supposed to find it.

MMA will show all Media Servers it finds. Just select the one from MediaMonkey to use as sync server.

But here's the thing! It only shows "Plex", which I'm pretty sure is just something my Dad is using. It doesn't detect one for MediaMonkey, even though MediaMonkey says it's running. I can't figure out what I'm missing...

(Sorry, I can't tell if I responded to this or if something messed up.)
There isn't one from MediaMonkey listed under UPnP servers or Select sync servers. Even though MediaMonkey on my desktop says its servers are running... They're connected to the same wi-fi and everything. I'm not sure what I'm missing...

Hi,
Try these steps:
0. Close MMW
1. Start MMA
2. Select UPnP
3. As soon as you tap on UPnP start MMW
4. It should show on the list
5. LONG TAP on MediaMonkey Server -> Save Server
6. That should allow you to browse UPNP
7. NOW go to MMA Options and select server
8. Saved MMW server should be there and you can select it
9. You should be able to sync without any interruptions from then

I'm afraid I had no results as of step 4 I'm thinking I may just need to find a different program for syncing and only use MMA strictly for listening to music...Peke wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 8:29 pm Hi,

Hi,
Try to start MMW just before you tap on UPnP in MMA?

Re: Please Explain Wi-Fi Synchronization Like I'm Five Years Old
Hey guys, sorry for the late response. Got busy.
I'm still not seeing my MediaMonkey server. I've been syncing via cable but stopped just now because it could no longer find my card on my phone...
I wanted to try uninstalling and reinstalling MediaMonkey, but neither the Windows uninstaller nor Revo can find it! What's up with that?!

Hi,
A bad SDCard?
If you have any problems I would suggest that you create support ticket where we can help you in more details.
