Had this for a while.
Using a Nokia 6 with all current updates.
In media monkey I can go to files and browse to play any music that is on my SD card in a folder titled music. However when I ask media monkey to scan for new files it fails to find recently add music sometime.
All music is MP3 format. It all plays if you go find it, but won't add to database.
Thanks.

Re: Fails to see all music
Hi,
Have you tried to add/browse to music folder in MMA options?

Re: Fails to see all music
I have tried adding the folder and it won't let me.
All my music is in a folder with sub folders for different artists. Media monkey is failing to see one of these sub folders, suspect there is more than one it's not seeing

Re: Fails to see all music

Re: Fails to see all music
I have checked, there is no .no media files in the affected folders.
Re: Fails to see all music
Solved!
So the issue is if I download music from my external storage box using their app to my phone it fails to see it. If however I connect my phone to my laptop and transfer the music it works fine.

Re: Fails to see all music
Sounds like an inconvenient workaround rather than solved!
Were you downloading via Western Digital's MyCloud app by any chance?
I have music that isn't getting picked up by the MM too. I'd downloaded it from My Cloud, but then I've also moved the music from one folder to another. No no.media files. There may also be other music it's not pickup up. I've not checked through every folder. The music is picked up by the other media play currently installed on my device.
I can play fine by opening the files from a file browser. However no tag data is displayed when I do this. This is happening on FLAC files (i've not tried MP3s). I thought playing them direct from a file browser might make the file then show in MM, however this did not happen.

Re: Fails to see all music
Tags and the files are picked up by Android Media Scanner, which seems to be doing neither. If Android Media Scanner doesn't pick this up then MediaMonkey is not able to see it.
