can i setup global Column headings?

Ok I admit i'm lost here. I want to setup column headings for a Collection say Classical so i go into Edit Collection and tick the headings i want. Conductor, Composer etc, The thing is I want these headings to apply to all the nodes associated with the Collection. At the moment if i select the composer node i get totally different headings, same if i select Conductor node i get different headings again.

So how are headings set? by Collection, by node, by view or a combination of these elements

Hi, settings are set for control (e.g. column tracklist) and collection. So once you set your columns e.g. in "Classical/All tracks" in view "List view", which displays tracks in column tracklist, this setting should be used for all column tracklists (aka "List view") in Classical collection under all nodes then (but not for "Simplified list"). But we have some bugs in this now, so it does not work always as it should.

I tried as you suggested but if i select Classical/All tracks List View it only applies to that node & view. I want the same headings for every node & view which display columns, eg Art & Details, List view.
Ideally i would like to be able to setup a standard (Global) set of column headings for all Collections with the ability to modify them on an individual basis if needed eg, I probably only need Conductor for the Classical Collection.

I suppose that you'd be (mostly) satisfied when the mentioned bug is fixed. Or, you might consider also creation of a Custom view (View Selector dropdown button -> Manage Views...), which persists across collections. Let us know though, if this is not enough to achieve what you need.

Probably best i wait for the next release then revisit. In the meantime i'll checkout custom views.
BTW i do like the look & feel of the new MM. Well done to all involved. I have been using PLEX for the past 18 months mainly because of it's Chromecast integration. Unfortunately as a music media manager it's all show & no substance. So here i am back at MM,

Nice to hear that! MM5 + MMA already offer more in the home networking area (chromecasting, ...), but there's more to come, we plan to release something new soon...
