I've experienced some weird playback issues and thought I should report them with a log.
Selecting a playlist and clicking "Shuffle Play" at the top seems to work as expected.
My difficulty has come when leaving that session and returning to it as an existing "Now Playing."
Tonight:
Had a successful listening session (Casting to Chromecast Audio). Paused.
Came back. Tried to restart play. Could not reconnect to Chromecast Audio, which I guess had timed out. ("Application has been taken over") Had to force close.
Reopened. Reconnected to Chromecast Audio.
Restarted playing from "Now Playing"
Song 1 Played as expected, display as expected.
Song 2 began playing with Song 1's info still being displayed
Hit "Forward"
Song 2 began playing with correct Song 2 information displayed
Song 3 played as expected, display as expected
Song 4 came up on display, Song 2 started playing again
Hit "Forward"
Song 4 started playing with correct information displayed
Galaxy S8
Android 7
MMA 1.3.0.0695
I have had this happen over UPnP and with local files. Tonight was local files. I only listen via Chromecast or Chromecast Audio, not the phone's internal speaker or headphones.

Re: Weird Playback Issues
You can scratch the part above about it being related to restarting a previous shuffle from Now Playing. It just happened on a fresh "Shuffle Play" of a playlist.
edit: ...and now playback of a track just stopped for no reason with no error message. "Pause" button is showing, indicating that MMA thinks the track is still playing. Progress is at 0:00 of 4:10. Song was nearly over when it froze. Playback resumed after about a minute.

Re: Weird Playback Issues
FYI - When I'm seeing incorrect info, it's on the phone screen, not a Chromecast. I mostly listen on Chromecast Audio, which doesn't have a screen. Don't know if it matters, but it seemed slightly different than the listed bug.Lowlander wrote:http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=13978

I'll report back with some hopefully good news when I get the update.Peke wrote:Fixed in build 1.3.1.700
FYI - an additional data point just in case - my issues seemed to occur almost exclusively while Casting. I listened straight through for about 45 this morning (build 699) with headphones plugged into the phone and had no problems whatsoever. Of course, I wasn't looking at the screen to see any data mismatches, but songs played without difficulty.
Re: Weird Playback Issues [#13978]
Can you confirm if this is fixed for you in build 701+
Thanks!

Re: Weird Playback Issues [#13978]
I haven't used 701 for anything other than (trying to) Chromecast, and I'm not able to get it going for more than a few songs at a time (see my other post) to be able to judge. Straight headphone playback was OK going back to 699 at least for me.rusty wrote:Can you confirm if this is fixed for you in build 701+
