Back in 2015 I submitted a feature request in the MM for Windows Beat forum (Bit depth [#11732]) to add visibility of file bit depth (i.e., 16, 24 and 32) to the MM user interface,
including the file properties tab, and to make this data available for searches, as a column heading, and sorting. I was informed at the time that it would be considered as an addition to V. 5.0.0.0. Well, here we are at the alpha stage for that version. I see no topics posted to address this issue, so I am resubmitting the request.

Re: 24 (and hopefully 32) bit depth visibility
Good news! Strange that my initial alpha forum search for "24 bit" didn't return this result. In any case, I will check it out.

Re: 24 (and hopefully 32) bit depth visibility
Is it correct to say that the "Bit Depth" field is (currently) not visible as part of the individual file properties?

You are right only available as Column added as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=15286

Bit depth is displayed in Track properties - Details tab for all files, where it makes sense and is detected, like FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF or APE. Is is missing for some format? Compressed formats use the least bits possible to store the audio, so it is not displayed for MP3 etc, there is no such information there.

I verified against all formats that support multiple bit depth and can confirm that for those Bit Depth is shown.
