Hi
I have MM gold 4.1.11.1783
I have many lossless files in flac format, which I want to synch at lossless quality on ipod.
On default sync rules, sync to MP3 worked fine
Downloaded aac codec plugin
Created rule to convert flac to aac with VBR 100%
Synch worked. I can see the files on the ipod fine, but they don't play, moving to the next track.
What am I doing wrong...
Any advice greatly appreciated!
thanks
jamie

Did you get the MediaMonkey Codec Pack or the AAC plugin? I'm not sure the latter is for MediaMonkey 4.

Thanks for the reply.
I used the trial codec pack having been prompted to download it. I set up a new rule to convert FLAC to AAC, and chose VBR and 100%
Did I do the wrong thing? I want to end up with apple lossless tracks on my ipod.
But, while the ipod lists the tracks okay, they just don't play and flick through to the next track and on and on etc. At the same time, non converted MP3 tracks play fine from the ipod. And previous down conversion from FLAC to MP3 had worked.
Any help much appreciated.

The MediaMonkey Codec Pack?
It should work, don't use ALAC myself though.

Seems to be 2 options.
I chose AAC
but there is also M4A, under which is AAC and ALAC, I will try this now.

Nope. This failed too. Pretty pissed off, this is what I got media monkey to do, and it can't!

You may want to try the conversion on the PC itself and see if the converted file works.

I've just tried transcoding to M4A/ALAC, and then syncing to iPad2 (iOS 8.0.2). That plays okay.
So it's either a on-the-fly transcoding problem, or it's a problem with compatibility with iPod player, vs iPad player. You'd like to think that they use the same codebase, but...
