Sven!

Hope U R well!

Is it possible for the script to link keywords with Artist?
eg. The "Rap" credit here: http://www.discogs.com/release/1189710 could be added to Artist.

Thanx.

Hey skywalka !

I'm fine, thank you.

There's no problem adding the "Rap" credit, i think. I'll add it these days !

I'd like to link keywords in the settings like you made possible with Producer.

So the user can decide what to include. They might choose "vocals", "guitar solo", "rap" etc.

Track does not come up in search thru MM. If I search Discogs website, track info and images are available. If I copy and paste release from url (1743809), the script finds track. Also, using both the more images button and the discogsimages script, I am unable to save the 2nd image to the tag. It simply does not show up in the tag or saved in any folder. Options are set to save in tag. Please advise. Using v4.3.7 & v1.2.

Hi steviegt,

after tagging a track you can't see the images. First you have to choose another track, so the track will be updated.

Hi Crap-Inhuman,

I don't know how to handle some releases that do have more than one disc. In Discogs, there are kind of comments included in the track to identifiy the disk or just coment the next tracks.

Buddhar Bar 5 => Dinner & Drink disc put has comments in the track list
http://www.discogs.com/David-Visan-Budd ... ase/227030

Paul Weller - Wild wood (Deluxe edition) - 2007 => Original & B sides disc title, Bonus Tracks as mark-up in the disc 1 track list and Bonus Tacks Demo version as Disc 2 title.
http://www.discogs.com/Paul-Weller-Wild ... se/1582795

The script is considering those titles and mark up as index tracks but keep on telling me the number of tracks is not matching and no tracks are matched at all. I need to match them manually and it could be a huge work if I need to go through all my Buddha bar collection :(

Also I was wondering how to indenticate that I want a specific track to be matched with one found in the list but for which no automatic match is done. If I check the track, only the general release information are updagted not the one specific for the track.

Thanks and have a nice day,
Patrice

Hi Patrice,

the comments included in the tracks are known as index tracks. These tracks are not marked in the list. Just count the marked tracks and compare it with the tracks you have for this release.
I think the problem with the 2 releases are the wrong track positions. Wrong, cause the Database Guidelines from Discogs use the point for subtracks (e.g. 1.1 , 1.2 , 1.3)
Releases with more than 1 CD should always have track positions like this 1-1, 1-2, 1-3,... 2-1, 2-2

The script "think" the two releases have one track each with many subtracks. :)

The contributor of this releases didn't read (or understand) the Discogs Database Guidelines.

Possibly it would be useful to add an option to the script, where you can choose a "." or "-" as CD-Separator.

The lower track-list come from MediaMonkey. MM do the matching between the tracks, so sometimes the tracks didn't fit together. I know the problem you have with it, but this is a part of MM, which can't be scripted.

I mostly finished a new Discogs Tagger without these problems. I will release it soon.

Hi Crap-inhuman,

Thanks a lot for this fedback.

The hell with naming conventions not respected :( but Ok, at least I see the problem now.
For the manual tagging, you're just confirming what I suspected.

I'm waiting for this new Discogs tagger.
Do you know if there is a chance to have a "script" that could add your releases to your discogs account if the Discogs release number is known in MM?

Thanks and have a nice week-end,
Patrice

Hi Patrice,

i worked on this feature, but i failed on the OAuth authentication. Maybe i can get it work someday..

I'm sometimes angry too about not following the naming conventions. But if you read the naming convention, you understand why people make mistakes. It is like reading a law book :D

Just tried the new keyword functionality for "Featuring". It's perfect!

Thanx!
