Last.fm Scrobbler help

Hi! I'm having problems installing the last.fm plugin after I got my new computer.
I am currently running version 4.1.0.1662 Beta, and when trying to install the last.fm plugin I get the following error:

"Error.
Last.fm Scrobbler was not installed."

Anyone got a clue?

Ok, in comment to my previous post, I managed to fix the issue. All I had to do was install the 4.0.7.1511 stable version, and then install the plugin. After that I could install 4.1.0.1662 beta again and it all works fine.

Works near perfectly, and connects to Last.FM, recording track Now Playing.

However it stops sending data after midnight!
To continue to scrobble, you have to restart MM.

Is this a known issue?

I can't reproduce that. I basically leave MM open all the time on my PC and I never had a problem with it not scrobbling. What's your scrobbler log say?

I can't reproduce that. I basically leave MM open all the time on my PC and I never had a problem with it not scrobbling. What's your scrobbler log say?

The log file is not interesting as the log entries do not continue past midnight, and there is no final horror message ether. The mp3 files are fine as they scrobble after a MM reboot.
It happened every midnight for me, but I believe I have found the solution.

What "broke" it was me deselecting the 'Show Now Playing tracks to my friends' option when setting up the add-in.
With this option ticked again (the default), the MM add-on immediately reconnects to Last.FM when you happen to unpause a track after midnight and MM continues to scrobble perfectly from that point.

So that is my work around to a very small bugette.

I'm not sure what the down side of having this option ticked is, but having the playing track's details more readily available on the Last.FM web site is a significant benefit, so I am happy enough.

Since the last major update to MM 4.1.0.1609 MM scrobbles music that is not playing. In my Last.fm timeline there are "ghost" scrobbles. I checked the log and see they appear there as well. Usually the tracks are from playslists I've build, but I have no clue why those are selected. Is anybody experiencing this as well?

No, but you are using an outdated beta version.

You should really update to the current release, 4.1.0.1692

The problem seems to have returned... Mediamonkey is still srcobbling files that are not playing, or haven't played...

I've downloaded the addon, but when I try to install it, it simply tells me that it "didn't install." It didn't have a reason, either. Does it not work for the newest version of MediaMonkey?

Just another 4.1 trouble maker. Is there a pair that works together? He's my log so far. I tried an older version of the plugin that said it supported 4.1

Nothing shows up on my last.fm or on my scrobbler since it lists the most recently scrobbled. Should I switch back to 3.x? Thanks!

Reinstalled MM 4.1.0.1692, and reinstalled the latest version of the plugin (1.0.2.29). Still not scrobbling for me, gahhh. (3.x was working fine before I upgraded yesterday). I am really trying to use MM4 and if that means helping debug it, I'm cool with that.

But nothing appears on my last.fm page.
What else can I check or changed to help troubleshoot this? I noticed there's quite a few people having trouble with the new MM version.

I haven't seen people having issues with MediaMonkey 4.1, however last.fm scrobbler has been giving trouble for some for many versions of MediaMonkey. I tend to disable/enable or vice versa the Now Playing submission to get things going.
