I've revamped the PlaylistPanel addon for MediaMonkey 4.0 compatibility (for the most part).
NOT compatible with MM3.
Features:
Can add and remove multiple songs to/from a playlist at once easily
Shows all static playlists a song belongs to in tree
Supports nested playlists
Bugs:
May not work as expected during startup file-scan or when a playlist node selected in main tree other than the playlist you are modifying
Some removals only work if song was last added or under strange conditions, believed to be a MM internal bug, try clicking on playlist node in main tree you want to remove song from and remove using PlaylistManager panel, then future removals should work when the playlist node in main tree is not selected

Please let me know of any other bugs or features you would like, thank you and enjoy:
Hi,
I'm quite new here, so may question might sound silly:
I downloaded the file and out it in the scropts/auto dir, the restartet MM, but I didn't recognize any hint to your features.
Would you please help me ?
Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately, I can't see a "Playlist panel" (or anything similar) option in the view menu.
Did I miss any preparation steps - ini file or something like that?
Hey there, thanks for this script (found it after Playlist Panel conked out on me). Wanted to say GREAT improvement allowing multiple selected tracks to be assigned to one playlist in one click (being that playlist panel would only assign the first track in such a scenario). Very cool and much quicker than Send To.. playlist etc..
Anyway found a couple bugs:
-Had a playlist "Classical" and another nested/child playlist called "Classical Masses". Couldn't assign a track to the child playlist (Masses) without it also assigning to the parent. Problem went away when the child list name no longer began with the name of the parent.
-When assigning multiple tracks, if the mm setting Options > Library > Tags & Playlists > Playlists > "Warn when duplicate files are added" is checked, the warning will pop up once for every duplicate track, rather than showing a list (send to... playlist just offers one list, better...).
Is there any way to move the panel to a different location? I can't seem to get it to move to where I want it. Am I missing something?
And for what it is worth, I can't turn it on/off from the View menu. It is just always on.
One more question: the old version would allow me to only show the playlists that the track was in. There doesn't seem to be those options on the new version. All I can do is show my entire playlist tree. Again, am I missing something?
sorry, haven't been focused on this script for a while.
I'll take a look at the things people have mentioned, and you might see a new version some time soon.
there is a new version at the top, the view menu option should now toggle the panel, i am now working on revamping the methods for adding and removing songs from playlists as they sometimes give unexpected results.
Thank you for the update. I can now toggle the panel.
I am also wondering if you will update it to only show the playlists that a track is included in. The old version would allow me to do this, and it was a really nice feature.
I installed it but it's not working for me. It's there but not interactive or what I was looking for, mine may be buggy. How do I uninstall it? can't find the file in the MM folder.

Wow, no idea how I missed this all these years.
Going to help me with more than just this, thanks.
