Cleaning up Library for the Extreme Nub. Suggestions?

Cleaning out tags, genres with names such as "!!" or "nu", consolidation "jazz-funk" with "funk-jazz", dead links...etc.

Can someone bulletpoint this for me? Please?
Don't have the time to read 702 archived threads rambling all over the place.
And, didn't see a sensible FAQ anywhere. Maybe I missed it.

(*cough* more reason to do a few tutorials on YT)
