MM4 is not syncing playlists with Samsung Galaxy S2
I have noticed on other threads that users have been able to get MM to sync their playlists with the SGS2, however I have not been so lucky.
I installed MM 4 because I read it works better with Android phones. I plugged in my SGS2, mounted it and I was able to view, configure and sync it with MM. All the music syncs over, however my playlists are not appearing in the DEFAULT music player that comes with the SGS2.
If I install PlayerPro I can see all the playlists, so clearly these are syncing over.
Does anyone have any suggestions on this?
Thanks!

Does your default player have some kind of special requirements for playlists, ie. what folder they need to be in, a certain format, etc?

Well my default player used to be a standard iPod classic. I have changed now to the SGS2 (or at least I hope to once all the kinks are sorted out).
I set the folder for Music as \Music\ and for playlists as \Music\Playlists on the SGS2 using MM4's config options.

My point is, maybe the folder for the playlists needs to be something else for your default music player app, like \Playlists\ or \My Playlists\ or any other of a myriad of other possibilities.abhiroopb wrote:

Thanks, well I took your advice and tried syncing the playlists using a number of different methods to a variety of different folders. Unfortunately, they are still not showing up

Look for some documentation for this music player app you're using.abhiroopb wrote:Thanks, well I took your advice and tried syncing the playlists using a number of different methods to a variety of different folders. Unfortunately, they are still not showing up

The documentation does not go into details about the Galaxy S2 music app.

I don't see how posting on those threads was a double post. If anything this post should be the "double-post". However, those other threads had slightly different issues and so they did not apply to me. Nevertheless considering the device (i.e. SGS2) was the same as mine I thought the posters on that thread could provide valuable insight into my particular problem.
Thanks for the clarification

Perhaps there is some kind of website or forum where you can ask.abhiroopb wrote:The documentation does not go into details about the Galaxy S2 music app.

Re: MM4 is not syncing playlists with Samsung Galaxy S2
Figured out the issue:
"USB Debugging" was enabled in my device. Just uncheck this option and sync everything and playlists sync along with the songs!

Re: MM4 is not syncing playlists with Samsung Galaxy S2
I have a strange behaviour. Playlist sync and are shown in the default player (SGS2).
But looking into the folder Playlists all PLA files have 0 bytes and are empty but still show up in the default player?
Anyway Im looking into using PowerAMP and I cant get Playlists to work, any help on that?
Should I tick teh Option "Use Linux folder Seperator ..?"

Re: MM4 is not syncing playlists with Samsung Galaxy S2
I have the same issue as you guys. Samsung Galaxy S2. USB Debugging turned off. I managed to sync my playlists into the media\playlist folder. The default music player finds the playlists without issue but every other player cannot find them. I have tried converting the playlists to .m3u files and storing them in the same location but still no luck.
Any ideas?
Jon
PS - I am using MM3

I am having the same problem.
The default music app sees and plays my playlists; but Winamp does not see my playlists. I sync using the MPT mode on MM3.

Re: MM4 is not syncing playlists with Samsung Galaxy S2
I had the same issue on the original Galaxy S after updating MM. Was able to sync properly after disabling USB Debugging, but it would be nice if there were a way to do it without having to resort to that. Never had any issues before the last update.
